In CIASA the objective of our agribusiness investment funds is to maximize profitability and to minimize risk. We know the inherent risks of the agricultural chain (i.e. climate, price cycles) and we try to minimize them through proven strategies.
Enrique Gobbée was one of the founders of the first Agricultural Direct Investment Fund (FAID) in 1993 which quoted in the Buenos Aires Stock Market. These funds have managed resources for more than US$120 million invested annually in more than 110 000 agricultural hectares in Argentina. Enrique is member since its foundation of CAFIDAP the Chamber of Productive Direct Investment Funds.
The task of our professionals does not end with the design of the investment fund but there is where it starts. We do the design of the fund and in most of the cases we manage or give technical assistance to it. We have cases where we deliver most of the fundraising too.
CIASA policy is to always participate in the investment funds that it manage or assist. That is why in most of the cases the payment for our services are based on a management and a success fee which is tied to the projected profitability goals of the funds. Moreover, CIASA participate with its own genuine investments in each of the funds that it manages.
Being present in different agrifood chains allows us to diversify our policy of asset allocation and to diminish the industry risk. We try to deliver consistency and seriousness in our risk strategy approach.

In Argentina, there are very few players that have succeeded in mixing investment fund expertise with proven successful strategies in the agrifood chain. Our investors have chosen us to manage their agribusiness investments because of our track-record. Most of them have created with CIASA long term trust relationships that will continue in the future.
